Am just about to pull the trigger on c50 just been in the shop to pay for it but then found they only have the non wi fi in stock
As I’m a complete cave man when it comes to tech was hoping some of you more savvy chaos could explain to me pros and cons of wi fi vs min wi fi and should I wait for the wi fi version ?
That want £1099 for the non wi fi
Thanks
Tommy

Tommy,
I don’t have one myself (yet) but I’m pretty sure the Wi-Fi is only advantageous for live streaming the video/picture to another device while using it and and transferring pictures/videos you have saved on the scope onto your phone etc. I personally wouldn’t bother with Wi-Fi as I won’t use these features. Data can still be transferred to a computer using the usb cable if you want to do that.
As for pricing that price must inc the IR illuminator ?

Price seems steep for a non Wi-Fi unit, I think they should be close to:

C50 non Wi-Fi £949
C50 non Wi-Fi & IR £1089
C50 with Wi-Fi £1099
C50 with Wi-Fi & IR £1239

Roo.

The Wi-Fi on these units is only really useful if you are with a shooting mate who has a smartphone, they can then see on the phone what you are seeing in the scope in real-time. If you have no need for this then go for non Wi-FI.

As TheIrishman has said you can still use the USB cable to transfer photos and videos from the scope to your laptop / tablet, so again you don’t need WI-FI.

I can't really see the point of wifi on a scope, £150 off puts it close to the price of the new Pard 800S so does make it slightly more attractive (IMO).

I’ve just brought the non wifi version and paid less than the price you’ve been quoted. Had a little hiccup with it but hope hopefully all sorted now. The only use to me for the wifi version would be for software updates via the Streamvision App which if version 2 is as bad as version 1 I’d rather plug into a computer via a USB cable anyway. As for watching the shooting via the App it was so laggy and unreliable as to be a waste of time.

The new DUAL/WIFI and Streamvision 2 is much better than previous versions Herb.

Thanks fellas just got it did it for£950
I’ve already got a pbir
And a ward dark engine black sun
Which do you recommend? To get the best from it
Thanks
Tommy

I just realised the new Non WIFI models now also have a short stubby throw lever inline change on the mode change ring.... that's a small but handy improvement..

IMO without a shadow of a doubt these are the best "night vision" scope available for the actual price tag they cost...

Lets not forget the low light ability, then the performance with minimal IR. Thats without using the "Sumlight" function which basically allows shooting with zero IR. What other NV has this level of performance on the digital market... There all designed for daytime use with night time as an afterthought...the C50 the opposite applies, it is a true night vision scope at heart...

Not seen the old Stream Vision but the new one I’ve downloaded for my C50 is very good, just hooked my phone up to the scope and there’s zero lag, my mates going to love this when we are stalking, watching the shot in real time on his phone.
Downloading vids to my phone is quick and easy, I think Pulsar have this sorted now.

They will never be the best daytime long range scope when you have 4K variants on the market but there the best built scope available, with the best software and best true NV performance... There a steal at the current price point..

Id call it a massive improvement! Bloody stiff that ring, I wonder if they could be retro fitted?
I would say no... I didn't realise . I have x2 units here that were opened as my mate has an airgun and he got it off me and said it was too heavy for his bullpup, same with another guy. It was just when I was checking and taking some product shots I noticed the addition...

Are those for sale Ian ?

Just tried mine
No IR and bloody amazing !
There excellent, glad your happy...

I'm going to pop some innomounts on mine, problem being there like 25% of the cost of the scope again  .... good though..

Anyone fitting them be careful mounting, use some A4 paper when fitting the top ring to the tube to prevent damage, the same when removing, friend give me the heads up a while ago before I nearly could of scratched mine to death when I first received them...
