Pulsar Firmware Updates - Improvements

In addition to being expensive, also take the time, now the containment of agricultural damage to crops has begun here, the damage caused by wild boars in this period and until the end of August, wheat, sunflowers, grapes and many other crops are being devastated, if I ship now I will it comes back at the end of the season and since this type of culling is carried out exclusively at night you understand that I would be left without it in the most important period
How far are you shooting ?

Good morning, the distances vary greatly based on the crop and the positioning of the exits from the woods/bush , as the shots are fired the shots become longer, starting from 50 meters up to 200 I use a tikka in 30.06
Now I'm trying to sell the C50 and I'll get an Alpex lrf

Why is it such a big deal? you must have been using the scope using holdovers before this update came about, the scope hasn’t all of a sudden become impossible to use!

Your shooting with a centrefire ? Anything out to 300yds basically doesn't need an LRF or ballistic if your shooting a fox or deer ?

Not having that. Sorry Ian
What normal fox/deer calibre centrefire when zeroed 1" high at 100yds , can you not place the crosshair on a fox or deers chest at 200yds and drop it ? At 300yds aim top of the animal , top of chest/back ... A ballistic calculation is not needed, I've not needed one for 25+ year..

I shoot thousands of rabbits using ballistic calculation on airgun and rimfire and this is where the beauty of the calculator comes in at longer ranges with these calibres.... with centrefires shooting 300yds and beyond this distance fair enough , but under this distance certainly not needed unless shooting small game at long range.

Well now!!! Just rang TJ's & asked if that last update fiasco had been sorted, yes, it is now an extra point one something .... I was happy with a portion of that last update as it gave more battery state detail, So foolishly I did the new update:

Consequently I will be using an old Quantum xq30v tonight, Mergers are completely dead, won't fire up, won't charge either.

I just got the Mergers away, will see how quick they come back, I also lashed out at Wynstay farmers for a rechargeable Clulite with red filter, so will try my best with the Quantum, if it struggles I'll go old skool.;)

How do you know a fox is 300 yrds without an LRF Ian? See what I'm saying?

Just from experience over the years and knowledge of the land, hedges, tree lines, size of animals at distance.... it's never going to be pin point accurate like a rangefinder within yards, maybe 30-40yds estimates, so with a centrefire on a larger animal it's still a kill drop...

What I'm saying it, LRF's are more beneficial for FAC airgun, Rimfire, etc than they are centrefire unless your shooting 300yds and beyond, out to 500yds but these are long distances at night. Yes people shoot this distance but the bulk of people don't at night...

All depends on personal circumstance and use, is the bottom line of it all..
