They never are. They always remain blank in the box.
What matters is having the original or atleast a copy of the original receipt for warranty. You have 3 years from that date.
Even without a receipt, Thomas Jacks can work off of the serial number and when it was built/produced and warranty will run from then however this can significantly reduce the warranty amount. Given that shops can hold stock for some time.

Warranty cards aren't needed for anything, they are just an excuse to capture your details for further marketing.

Reason for sale is that I bought it for a specific trip which I’ve now been on. It’s not getting used.
