Sorry - ought to change your avatar to big feet 🤭

Bump - for a cracking first thermal. Has the advantage that the video can be wired fed directly to an external screen rather than relying on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi👍

At what range could you identify that it is a fox?
That's already been answered if you read the earlier posts. There are loads of reviews and tests done with this unit if you Google it.
I paid over twice the price being asked here for a used one a number of years ago and am still very happy with it.
It will blow your mind if you have never used a thermal spotter before.

Thanks, and no I haven't used these thermal units before. I am in two minds, I am looking at the HIK FH35 also. I don't know whether to pay big now or go for a cheaper unit first, like the one above for sale. This will be used for mainly foxing and I already have a good scope on the rifle, I only need a spotter scope. I won't be taking a shot any further than 150 yards in the dark. I just need something to identify a fox around 100 - 300 metres or possibly more when scanning the fields at night.

Honest answer

Compared to the Hik this is not as good. For what you need it will be fine but at 300m identification will not be certain, just a heat source, but by its movement you should identify a fox.

I started off with one of these. For the money you can’t really go wrong here dipping your toes into the world of thermal.
Buy some rechargeable batteries from IKEA and you are flying.
