My GWP suffers from pyroderma during the summer months running in stubble swimming and long grass , as a result he gets red sores under his armpits and on his stomach area. Last year I took him to the vets and received a three week course of antibiotics, this year I spoke to a horse breeder who suggested the following ointment instead. I washed the affected area with hibiscrub and then applied the ointment twice, the redness and dry scabbing has almost completely gone after two days. For £10 at your local equestrian suppliers it's well worth a try if like mine your dog suffers scratches and sores.

IT was probably the hibiscrub! This was my go to solution for these sorts of infection. MOre so now with antibiotic resistance.

No I had tried the hibiscrub for days before and had given up and looking at a visit to the vets as the redness and sores had failed to clear up I'm convinced it was the ointment that cured the issue.
