Tesco, Aldi, Asda and Morrisons are having big problems sourcing fruit and veg and have had to introduce rationing.

Grim times, especially for the vegetarians and vegans. I wonder will there be a black market develop?

I had it with eggs the other week....they wouldnt let me buy 24 eggs split over 4 boxes but they would let me buy 2 boxes of 12.......

I really don't get it maybe because I'm nearly 70 and grumpy but I never expect to get tomato's and the like in the winter we never had them when I was young we just ate seasonal veg , and just to add to my moan if they are blaming global warming maybe shipping the said salad from abroad does not help. I feel better now :D

Not sure that these huge developments have just dried up and blown off in the wind:

The same elephant must have broken into the Irish store rooms then has it? Your press are reporting the same on you're island . Not just a UK problem really is it?
I live on the island and there's no shortage here mate.

This week alone Lidl have the following heavily discounted... Peppers, carrots, blueberries, potatoes, lemons, oranges, apples, easy peelers, cabbage, chillies and cucumbers.

That's just Lidl, no shortage in any other shops either and plenty discounts.

I was in a major fish wholesale market in the UK a few days ago and there was a big shortage of fish unless you wanted farmed stuff from the Faroe Islands.

Do elephants eat fish?
