recommendations for 10mm -12mm double braided rope for PCW3000

where are you guys sourcing your rope for pcw3000 capstan winches from ?
10mm -12mm recommended and double braided i believe

just wondered if somewhere guys in know can recommend for the right rope

I use a 200m 10mm “pre stretched” rope, has served me well on clear fells especially on slopes. Store it in one of these bags which is useful with the straps.

10mm yachting braid (polyester braid on braid) is what you need and works well. Price has gone up a bit since I ordered from here (I paid £145 for 200m)

Just use dyneema

This may sound silly, but when your using the winch to pull out anything, walk to the item your winching with the loose end of the rope leaving the bag with the remaining rope secure at the winch point. As long as you have put the rope back into the back the correct way it should not tangle on the way back out. Why walk the length with the weight of the all rope in the bag when you only need the end of it.

we're not all born knowing everything and some of "US" have gone through life learning from mistakes, you crack on.

Oh i have a link for Dyna rope thats 1/2 the price of the above quoted, but again you probably already knew.

Also looking for a 200m double braided static pulling rope - interested in where to get. I see flea bay from £90 upwards?

I bought this from Rope Services and have been very pleased. They do a 200m roll for £180. I carry a further 100m of 3mm Dyeenema "just in case" but have never had to use it as intermediate pull anchor points have always been available.
