Red deer lifetime memories

Well
....... I’ve just had memories of a lifetime, I’m a roe deer stalker ....99% of time that’s my quarry .
But when I was away with work last trip, speaking to my brother online & he says to me .... want to go stag stalking ?..... I’m like yeah right! Priorities ! A screwed industry I’m working in & im amazed I still have a job ....but no it’s an invite you **** I’m told !😂
My brothers a grouse keeper & deer daft .... head stalker on Highland estate is good pals with him & a real gent .... only time I’ve done hinds he took me for my first Red.
Well that time was Wednesday past ..... and between weather , a cold chill in a bit of wind dropping the temp & the company .... everything just clicked and a day of a lifetime all came together [emoji846]
I ended up broken ... knackered knee from bad accident in my 20’s made it weak in the steep downs not the ups ... which had me breathing out my backside .... other leg ended up cramping like hell.... my tweed breeks inner seam split one side from my balls to my knee yet I’m still smiling !😂
4 stags ...a 10 pointer & 11 pointer & 2x smaller staggies ... my brother got a nice 9 pointer but then damaged is ankle dragging it to extraction point so hobbled back with Argo , we met them at bottom ... unbelievable day .... beasts spotted everywhere roaring all around and some fantastic beasts watched strutting & squaring off ....
A day in company I’ll never forget

An amazing day watching natural spectacle like the rut and hearing it was just primeval almost , hair on back of neck and can do nothing but grin ...
I’m still sitting in a element of shock and I’m fully aware of the level of day I have been given & im truly humbled

Cheers
Paul
