Noted, I have a stash of h110 for my hornet. But avoid, if found h110, hs6, any fast spherical.
N110 might work.

Just chuffing expensive, £65 for 400 gramsI think RS14 is the new goto "fluffy" powder now that Trailboss and NC32 (Tin Star) are unobtainium.
It's not quite Trailboss fill to 70% and you cannot go wrong, but much bulkier than other powders.

I think @Smellydog is saying avoid H110.Noted, I have a stash of h110 for my hornet.
Thank you and yes, avoid h110!!I think @Smellydog is saying avoid H110.
As above RS14 would work.
It really depends what you are after, if it’s just a soft gallery load, powders are limited.
If it’s a medium load, say 405gr cast at 1350 ish (similar to the old black powder load I believe) there’s a few more options.
I have various loads for, 405 subsonic, 405 at around 1300, 405 at 1600 (thumps). And for hunting 250 gr copper and 300 gr JSP at 2100-2200.
It’s a pretty versatile cartridge, so it just depends what you’re trying to get out of it.
Sorry I read n110 but please do NOT substitute h110 for n110 in 45/70.Noted, I have a stash of h110 for my hornet.
I got that, should maybe have been clearer in my reply. Thanks.Thank you and yes, avoid h110!!

@Smellydog I got it wrong, their pistol powders are around £65 for 500 gr, the RS14 is around £90 for 400 gr !!!!Just chuffing expensive, £65 for 400 grams
Looks like the OP won’t need it anymore as the rifle’s up for saleI’m using 8gr of AS30N behind a 350gr cast, a shade slower than N310 or equivalent to Clays. Gives 904 ft/s, is accurate enough for plinking steel (can’t remember groups) and is really nice to shoot. My 12 y/o can shoot many rounds with no complaints from his shoulder.
As said previously, any pistol/shotgun powder is good
