Rem 700 SA converting BDL to DBM ?

I have a Rem 700 SA , 243 win in BDL type. The repeating is not reliable. Bolt doesn't always pick up a round.
I know it's possible to convert it to a DBM. I had a look at Atlas Works and Bergara. This should improve the problem, I think/hope?
Is this plug and play or does it need a gunsmith to have it fitted properly?

its a plug and play bolt on option
however if its not picking up i would resolve that issue before potentially increasing the value but not performance

the internal box may need tweaking to position the round for the bolt
or the spring may be weak

Thanks
Loading in the darkness sometimes is difficult. Cartridges don't always sit in the right position. Sometimes at an angle.
Both "problems" made me think in a DBM solution.
Put the loaded magazine in your pocket and just put it in the rifle when needed.

It was an ADL as a start. Many years ago, I could make a good deal on a PSE stock with BDL bottom metal.
It works, but not always

Hmmm.
I converted my BDL to DBM some time ago and it works great. If I recall correctly the floorplate on the BDL can edge forward along the follower spring and change the angle enough to cause an infrequent jam - exacerbated by using short rounds but a nip of the floorplate with some pliers may help.
