Remington 700 .223 rebarreling advice sought

Thoughts on getting a Rem 700 with a heavy 24 inch varmint barrel re-done to go to 1/8 twist from 1/12 twist? I've grown to love the rifle, its in a GRS stock and has had the trigger done by the previous owner and is very accurate (only shot 55grain Sako Varmint rounds with it so far), but I'm thinking of using it 70/30 range on steel plates/foxes. Not quite sure I can justify keeping this for vaminting and getting another .223 with a faster twist for distance and targets. Also not sure of how easy/feasible/expensive getting it rebarreled would be.

Apologies for question overload! Any thoughts/advice appreciated in advance.

i have a cooper arms 223 rem 1\12, and use 52gr bergers, and shoot out at 600yds no problem, save your money for ammo mine will handles 62 gr bullets, if its not for serious target work i wouldnt bother atb bs ps no apologies needed here matey

Ask a few local riflesmiths for prices but probably £700-1000 depending on barrel make and who’s fitting it.
Have you tried using heavier bullets in it yet? Who knows it might be ok with 69 grainers? Perhaps try a box first?
