Remington 700 and FAC questions

Hello! I'm not totally sure where to put this big question so hopefully here is correct. I have searched online but seemed to get some varying opinions.

Couple of things I'm hoping the esteemed people of this forum can help me with...

1. Can I apply for a FAC and say I want my .308 for target shooting, zeroing and deer stalking? My thought process here is that I want to use the rifle and become highly proficient with it in all settings to ensure extremely accurate shot placement when it matters most.

2. Must I have written permission from a land owner if I am adding the deer stalking use case?

3. I would like to get a Remington 700 in .308 for various reasons but I believe it's difficult to find one with a threaded barrel in the UK — am I correct and if so, could anyone outline how hard it would be to have a barrel threaded for the 700?

4. Is the Remington 700 a poor choice for a first target/hunting rifle, and if so, could you please provide some recommendations on either something similar/similar and better?

Appreciate this is a long post, but any advice would could be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

1 - yes
2 - you’ll need to show good reason eg booked stalks or written permission
3 - rem 700 are almost all threaded and can also be threaded if not. 38 listed in 308 on guntrader almost all threaded
4 - rifle brand is very personal. Try a few and see what fits / suits/ your shoot well. Nothing wrong with remmys, I have several
