Remington Export from UK to ROI

I bought a secondhand Remington .308 from Swillington Shooting supplies and when looking to export it to Ireland they said it wasn't something they would process. But I got advised to use Tannyoky guns in Northern Ireland. I got an Irish import licence, but when Tannyoky received the gun they said they now can't export it to the republic of Ireland as it's prohibited under US ITAR regulations. They can't export American made shooting equipment.

Anyone here have any experience with something like this? Bryan

Hi,
I brought in my guns in via McCloys in NI.
If I was bringing in anything needing an import licence I'd go through them.
Granted mine were not US made but I wasn't aware that was an issue when importing from outside of the US.
Give McCloys a shout if they can't do it for you they will point you in the right direction.
