renewal and that med cert

I am with TVP and my renewal is due for Oct. I have had zero contact with TVP - no reminder.
That said I knew it was coming. Didnt need med cert last renewal so tried to get ahead and contacted my surgery to find out my GP`s stance.
Yes thats fine - drop the forms off - £60. Happy days - one less thing to worry about or so I thought! That was 3 weeks ago and not heard - will obvs pursue.
I have everything else in place to start the renewal which I understand has to be completed in one sitting. I believe there is an option to print out a hard copy to post back.
My question is: as I dont know how long the GP is going to take - I asked that I could collect the forms for scanning and up loading - can I still put in the paperwork with the med cert pending?
For all I know the GP may well just send the forms back any way.
Or will I just be wasting time? I have about 4 months left.
I am renewing fac but applying for coterminous as well this time.
Thanks

Ask your licensing dept they will give you the correct answer , it’s only a phone call .

And it’s shootcert you want not med cert , the later is superb !

I'm in a similar situation, awaiting my medical form back from my gp. I did wonder if I could put my application in and attach the medical form later as I will definitely have it before my renewal is processed as there is a three month backlog. Has anyone else submitted their application and attach or forwarded their medical form later?

Its 100% med certificate first , once all of that is received they should confirm and then you are free to continue with your application. Mine and at least four of my Range day friends in other county’s have all been told the same .

But like I said the best way to confirm is a simple phone call .

That is what I did with TVP, been a couple of years now but I applied without med certification and they emailed me saying that they needed proof that I have ordered one within 5 day or they would reject. I told them that I was waiting and they progressed it and I posted later. This was during the pandemic but they were still good with it

Just done my renewal & no medical form = no acceptance of renewal application in Hants who, from the email confirmations I've received, have an association with TVP as far as licensing goes.

Email your GP asking a) if they've sent the forms back direct to TVP & if so can they please send you a copy (they'll have a copy on their file), or, b) requesting confirmation of when they will be returning your completed medical form.

I've just coterminous renewed with TVP,printed out forms, got doctors paperwork and sent the lot off. Phone call from TVP, few standard questions re reloading and security precautions, informed that I'll have certificates in the post by expiry date of old ones. Cheque cashed one day after phonecall, certificate arrived as promised.
No problems whatsoever.

I submitted forms to the Dr and paid my (pretty reasonable) fee and then waited. Filled my forms out and waited - FEO got in touch and came out, went though the forms and asked me to pay there and then by BACS and all hunky dory
