Retired lab?

I was contacted out of the blue today by a lovely elderly lady desperately looking for an older lab to re-home, she’s recently lost hers not long after losing her husband as well and is totally lost, I am unable to help personally but was truck by her desperation, poor lady broke down in floods on the phone to me. She’s in Maidenhead, and I just thought it worth asking in case anyone knows of an older ex-worker looking for a quiet retirement?

Many years ago I worked with a lass who was involved in rehoming labs via a local group - she was based in Basingstoke so not far from Maidenhead. I'm just off out for the day but will have a look on tinterweb this evening to see if I can find the group.

Thank you, much appreciated, I’d love to try and help this lady if I could, any help gratefully received

I am pretty sure this is the organisation & they look a small if they have what might be an ideal dog - Red, a 12yo For Red

Hope this helps 👍

I've just Google " rescue dogs in maidenhead"
Clearly some rescue dogs wouldn't be suitable. But my understanding is the people who manage the centres try to get a good match.
Worth asking.
Good luck.
