Gitano mate .Your skill with a blade is impressive ,so much so that im left thinking you could see this project out to a mounted conclusion yourself .Boil those bones and get a body form made to match and get that skin back on it .You know you can,i know you can .If you feck it up then shoot another or ill send you one ,lol. Quality job there mate .

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Foxdropper. I'm leaning in that direction.

With regards to "40K's worth of bloodstock right behind it", (assuming "bloodstock" is something valuable :) ), many in the US have taken to shotguns for taking fur-bearers that are called up. It's primary disadvantage is reduced range compared to a rifle, but on the plus side, a shotgun is generally better on the pelt, and certainly better with respect to ricochet and "backstop". Coyotes and foxes drop 'like rocks' when hit with a 1 oz load of #2s at 30 yd or so.
