Ridiculous rates for ammunition will end recreational shooting

Went into a gunshop today, and for a laugh, asked to have a look at some factory 'lead-free' offerings.

Prices ranged from £39.99 to £80  for a box of 20 centrefire rounds. Average was £50-60.

These rates will only be going up.

On the other hand, primer rationing has already begun... not good news as the next shipment is predicted to be up 60% in price.

I paid £13 a box for 25 12 bore cartridges the other day. Hideous prices.
Seemed cheap compared to the price of centrefire ammo though.
Sadly EVERYTHING is going the same way

Not a smart post on a public forum IMHO
Why not?
It is a genuine question.
We all hold stock so if the rules change are you going to hand in your rounds containing lead and bear the cost?- or will you shoot them off?
And if not a club member where can you do that??
Easy to say/legislate to stop using something from 1/1/xx but what about those who hold now "illegal" ammunition??
What is your solution please
