Rifle drag bag review.

I am in the military, but I am not a sniper. I ended up with a Condor Tactical model when they were on sale at my local gun shop. I think I paid $65 for it, and now they are over $100.

Right now I have 5 or 6 of the damn things and am really enjoying most of them.

Here's a review I did on them on www.blaserbuds.com

I am waiting on the mail to get a Blackhawk model, so I'll update this when I get it worked out. Should be great, 1000 Denier cordura, YKK zippers. And I got it for $165 on Amazon.

I have 5 sniper rifle drag bags, they are fantastic for a lot of reasons over a normal single rifle long gun soft case.

Here's why I like them.
1. They have backpack type shoulder harness system to carry the rifle case very comfortably.
2. They make a good backpack type shooting rest in the field (though I probably wouldn't hunt with my rifle/s in one).
3. They carry two rifles, and depending on the make of bag, seperate the two rifles with a lot of padding.
4. Tons of extra room for lunch, cokes, cleaning rod, ammo, knife you name it.

These are the ones I have tried.

Good quality Cordura 1000 ballistic nylon (same as a lot of companies snake boots, and same as military grade duffel bags). YKK Zippers, Chinese built but of superior quality, never had a problem with one. Cost around $100, comes in a lot of different colors, OD, Black, Coyote, Arpat, and I think Multi-Cam.

More bells and whistles than above but at almost 3 times the price. Not sold that it is 3 times better but nice stuff. Comes in black, tan, and OD.

The third one I have is from NC Star, and it's the cheapest, and the least desirable. Cheap zippers, cheap material, looks nice, has nice seam stitching, but just isn't the quality of the other two. I have some issues with one of mine on a pocket zipper. http://www.ncstar.com/new-guncase.html you can find these for $50-100.

All my bags are in the States and I just moved to Australia, so I am going to try a couple more here.

If I can find a deal on them Eberlestock makes one, as does Arktis in British camos.

I have been using the Blackhawk rifle bag for a few months since I wrote this. I wouldn't buy another one, while quality is stellar, it has some design issues that Condor beats it on. Firstly it only holds one rifle. Secondly it doesn't hold that one rifle as well as the two gun Condor model. Build quality is great, but design holds it back.

good reveiw im a sniper commander in the rifles i have a aim drag bag ive used it on ops as well as countless exercises its flawless

Personally I prefer the Std Issue AI made L115-A3 drag bag whats better if the QM likes venison there free!

I have two of the AIM 50's and have used and abused them for best part of three years, both are still stitch perfect, proper bags.

I've got the Blackhawk bag, my main gripe with it (apart from being overpriced) is that I don't need the drag hood most of the time, but I can't detach it!
