RIP Captain Sir Tom

All the above posts ring very true ,

But let's not forget how the media played it out ( which on this ocassion I agree with )

This is a MAN who overcame many many things before his body gave in on him ,

A true gent of the English empire , who gritted his teeth as a young man and got stuck in , ....

For us lot ......

Can't say much more ,

A gentleman of THE HIGHEST ORDER

God bless ya

RIP Capt Sir Tom Moore

Stand down soldier,
Your mission is done,
The danger over
There's no need to run,
You were trained well,
To obey each demand,
So take this and heed,
This final command,
Rest your body,
close your eyes,
As we weep the loss,
When a good soldier dies,
Bask in peace,
that you can enjoy,
Embrace it for us,
Let it too be our joy,
The life you have lived,
will constantly remind,
And bring on a smile,
to those you leave behind,
We thank you for your serving,
Your loyalty stood true,
And hope someday,
we will meet up with you.

Local lad, National hero

A very sad day indeed.
But what an amazing man, and a wonderful inspiration to us all, who has set the finest example for all ages and abilities.
God bless you sir.🇬🇧
