After a long break away from taking people out due to work and a young family, I’m glad to be back taking people out again.

I can offer stalking for cull Roe and Muntjac in Somerset and Dorset at £120/outing, this includes use of a rifle if required, cull animals are £80 each and that includes the carcass should you like it.

I have been an AW for around 15 years and can offer witnessing and/or training for level
2 if needed.

If any other details are required please just send me a message.

Hi - not sure how to private message (if that's even possible) but thought I would reach out as I may well be moving into the Devon area which might work out well for potential stalking opportunities. I have just become a member and posted an introduction, but essentially I've just completed the BDS DSC1 and now looking to build experience with a view to working towards DSC2. Due to imminent house move I have not yet applied for FAC nor bought any essential kit. So just putting out the feelers at the moment so I can hit the ground running when I move in a month (or two) time.

Just went on my first ever stalk with Ben yesterday and very happy to say that I got a beautiful roe buck!

Went into the stalk with no experience and minimal knowledge but felt like I had learn a lot from Ben throughout, what to look out for in the field - Ben was very professional and knowledgeable and had a quite a number of lovely grounds. Glad to see many deers as well.

Thank you for the memorable first experience Ben!

To anyone who is looking to go on a stalk, I can guarantee you’ll have an unforgettable experience :)

A brilliant introduction to deer stalking, thanks to Ben.

Today I had the pleasure of going out on my very first deer stalk, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better guide than Ben. From start to finish, he was professional, personable, and exceptionally knowledgeable. The experience was un-rushed and thoughtfully paced, allowing time for clear instruction, observation, and hands-on learning — all delivered with a great balance of patience and humour.

Ben’s passion for ethical stalking was evident throughout, and his calm, supportive approach made it both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. I came away with a solid foundation and a genuine appreciation for the discipline.

I’d highly recommend Ben to anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of deer stalking, whether you're a complete beginner like me or looking to build on existing experience.

Looking forward to getting back out there under his guidance soon.

Hi Ben,
This sounds like just what I am after. Please may you message me with further details?
Many thanks

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Ben for taking me out stalking yesterday evening. It was my first real stalk, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction.

Ben was patient, clear, and incredibly knowledgeable. He walked me through everything we were doing and explained the reasoning behind each step, even taking the time to compare it with how we would approach fallow deer at home. He had a great sense of humor and feel I got the full stalking experience.

We had to fight the shifting wind, moving position to avoid blowing our scent down the fields. We spotted a couple of does in a neighbouring field, crossed paths with them again later, and even managed to sneak up on a buck that was too good to shoot. We crawled 50 meters toward another decent buck, only to lose him in the process. We nearly stood on two fawns hidden in a hedgerow and watched from 150 meters as they ran to feed from their mother, completely unaware of us.

Just as we were about to move on to a third area, Ben spotted a good-sized buck. We had to work across two gateways, circle around into a connecting field, and finally come out alongside the buck at a safe and sensible distance. With Ben guiding me the whole way, we closed the gap from 180m to 70m. Ben walked me through the shot placement, watching over my shoulder talking me through the deer movement until the buck was still, well positioned and I was ready👍

The only thing that impressed me more than his knowledge was seeing him in action with his latex gloves on 😉 The gralloching was the cleanest and fastest I’ve seen—even with him pausing to explain and answer questions 😅

I would highly recommend and I will be booking again for sure 👌

Had a fantastic evening stalking with Ben on Friday. He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, patient (especially considering how late I arrived thanks to traffic coming out of London!), and an all round top bloke! Must have a 6th sense for deer considering how he can spot them a mile-off often with just the naked eye!

We saw plenty of deer, probably around a dozen in total mainly being does, kids, and big trophy bucks. Saw a couple of cull bucks that we were after but the shot just were not quite safe enough. Looking forward to my next outing with Ben!

Thanks for taking the time to post, it's much appreciated and glad you enjoyed your outing, great meeting you and plenty of deer in the short amount of time we ended up with-good to see that buck covering that doe too and plenty of activity.

I just went on my second outing with Ben after I had my first successful stalk for a roe buck. This time I had my eyes set on a muntjac so we got to the high seat and settled in pretty early. Waited a while until the sun started to set slowly and I was unsure if we should continue in the high seats or take a walk out - we decided to take a walk out slowly while Ben creeped quietly and caught sight of a muntjac right behind us.

Ben was calming, knowledgeable and patient as usual, allowing me to take a shot safely and confidently!

I will never forget my first muntjac outing - thank you Ben again! 😆

Just going through my diary and I only have 31st July and 5th August available, otherwise I’m booked into the last week of August for any other guests I’m afraid, thanks for all the enquiries, I’m thoroughly enjoying taking people out again 👍
