Available: Roe and Muntjac in the SW

Against my better judgement with the cover being up and them being in velvet etc we’ve tried and been successful every time so far since I’ve started taking people again but I’d really say we should go October onwards once the leaves drop and they’re well in hard antler if you wanted a proper one and the best chance. I’ve just picked up some ground with something different on and will offer it to existing guests first- i’ll Whatsapp you now. 👍

No problem-most of the information is in the first post, I can send you a pricelist for better bucks if that’s what you are after-we get some really excellent heads 👍

Second outing with Ben and second successful stalk 👍 I'm looking forward to doing my DSC2 with Ben, I need to get some experience on the stalk and the gralloch and Ben will be the only guy I will use.

After the first outing I felt like I had known him for years and the after the second outing we abuse each other like good friends. A genuinely nice guy who really cares about the deer and passing on the art of the stalk.

I drove to a CIC judge on the way to the second stalk and got a silver medal for the first Roe buck we shot, cant' really complain about that 😎

For the second stalk we went to beautifully maintained woodland and tried to call in a muntjac or roe. I think it was maybe an an hour an and a half in and as we turned a corner there was a nice cull buck in the middle of the track 150m away. I set up on the quad sticks ready and Ben called the roe in, it ignored us for 30 seconds and then turned and run straight down the track towards us. I whispered to Ben are you going to stop it? he shouted and it stopped at about 40m, I couldn't have asked for a better shot 👍

I can't upload pictures but hopefully Ben will upload them for me 🙏

Cheers

Karl

I have availability 24-27th Nov and 8th December onwards for Roe does and Muntjac. Level 2 training/witnessing etc available, top quality estate rifle and all other equipment provided if required 👍

Fully booked now till mid December but if anyone is looking for Roe does for level 2 etc I have availability through then into Jan. In the New Year I’m putting in a new, bigger chiller and butchery facility so people can stay and stalk-then take their venison home vac packed in a more useable form and learn more than just the stalking side of things. 👍

Me and my wife have had a very nice trip stalking with Ben, very friendly and all around nice guy. Seen loads of deer on his grounds, which are very diverse, and had a couple very memorable stalks to get into shot position.
Never a dull moment and even had a couple of doubles, which was a first for us.
There is a pretty nice hotel close by, should you like to do multiple stalks like us continentals, with good food and a cosy bar. They were kind enough to cook the bakstraps from one of our deer for us, so we got to taste what we had shot. Total pain that we aren't able to take venison across the channel.... 😢

Because pictures say more than words:

Thanks for such a kind writeup, it was a pleasure to meet you both and take you out for a few days! I’ve been busy at Muntjac with guests this weekend with 5 in 4 outings and then mixed Roe and Muntjac stalking coming next week.

I can put together cull packages on Roe with a 10% accommodation discount at the local
Pub and Sportsman gun centre less than 10 minutes away for shopping between outings. Level 2 witnessing also available, one of the better bucks from this weekend below.

Hi all, April is fully booked with guests but now taking bookings for mature and cull Roe bucks after then, no more muntjac bucks available until around August. Medal class Roe taken every year, some lovely malforms around this season and plenty of clean bucks seen already. DSC level 2 witnessing also available 👍.

A decent start with 10 bucks in 3 days, weights in the first week should give 3 bronze and a silver. Plenty of cull bucks about too 👍
