Have for sale 4 Roe Deer skins, cured by myself. They are not “perfect”, but function very well as wall hangings or throws over the back of cantors etc.
Done quite a few now and need the space to do some more, hence the sale.
All skins are mothproof and clean, have had them hanging on my wall for a few years and they are as good as when I cured them.
There are a few holes in the skin side of the pelt where it either got nicked by the knife when skinning, or slightly overworked by me when breaking the skin, but aren’t obvious from the fur side.
All are slightly different in terms of shape, flexibility, colour and finish, as conditions vary when they dry which changes the finish slightly. Edges are all slightly different on each skin, as it depends how much I needed to trim off after breaking the skin side. Slight perfume scent to them due to the curing process.
Pics 1 and 2 skins are slightly lighter in colour compared to 3 and 4.
Thinking £35 Ono per skin plus postage, or collection from Hereford. Can potentially drop off on a trip to Cornwall if that works.
