Roe doe in the hedgerow

Out walking the dog this morning and was standing replying to a text message, when these two came along the track and walked into view. With the dog sitting beside me they couldn't figure out what I was, so spent a minute or two investigating.

I was thinking it was a mother and daughter. In the third photo of them standing side-by-side, the mother would be on the left. When together she seemed notably the larger of the two.

Hmm I initially thought the same but both very spindly and light frames. Agree the left doe does have a slightly "older" looking face. We'll never know unless you can obtain lower jaws

Mother and daughter for sure. The left doe is noticeably larger with a much bigger head.
