Roe Liver

Shot a nice young roe buck this morning, excellent condition in general, but noticed a few white marks on one small section of liver - cut in and they appear to be small fatty pieces - but only in this relatively small section of liver - rest was ok, good colour etc - only the 3rd roe I've shot on this ground and haven't noticed it before
Any ideas please? Every day is a school day so any advice appreciated, thanks

Looks OK to me.
There's often a few small nodules in liver - possibly scar tissue from previous parasite infestation?
If it's only a few and they're not actively infected and there's no parasites present it'll be fine.
If there's lots of damage, or active infection, bin it.

Thanks VSS, it did look ok to me, I've shot plenty of muntjac and never noticed anything like this before so wondered if its just roe. Like I say, everything looked good so its in the chiller now ready for butchering Sunday 👍

They are almost certainly fluke tracts. Scar tissue so a bit crunchy when cooked. However, if they ooze when cut, I'd bin.
Thanks Buchan, didn't keep the liver anyway, but just curious as to what it was, always good to top up the knowledge, thankyou
