Roe shields

I have just persuaded my brother in law to make some roe shields for me so I can finally get around to mounting a load of heads. I'm just testing the water to see if there is any demand for them? If there is I will ask him what price he will charge.20230211_080422.webp20230211_080442.webp

If you can price them lower than the larger retailers (Overpriced, because shooting Is still viewed as a rich mans hobby) You will have a market.

BushWear are £17 for Roe, and £44 for Red Deer for there Oak shields, If you put some oak wood stain onto them they'll look pretty close.

I had some similar made for me by a local chippy, made from his odds and ends at £4.50 each.
Unfortunately he no longer works so doesn't make any more.

I have just spoken to my brother in law re these roe shields and he's suggested £15 + p&p. That's for an oak shield oiled and finished. The back has been mortised for easy wall hanging. If there is enough interest I will sign up to a trade member and list in classifieds

I’d be interested. Any plans to make one with a medal mount?
