but not using a semi auto .22, or using lights at night on birds other than pigeon.......??

The maximum penalty available for an offence under the Act is, at the time of the issue of
this licence, a level 5 fine (£5000) and/or a six month custodial sentence.

Do you not think the lamping might be for foxes or rabbits..... must remember think before type.......

Do them just like pigeon breasts Redlab.Very tasty indeed.
My eldest daughter plagued me at this time of year to go shooting branchers.Had some good evenings and missed out by going too late some years.

I'm not sure it is worth shooting Rooks as they are more likely to do good work for farmers eating grubs and not bad eating crops. I do however know that Rook type rookery's have a really nasty stink. It Carrion Crows that need shooting but not eating.

ABF has a point, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.

The meaning of the post is plain enough. The lamping is optional.

in my FEO's stern words ....... "any roost-shooting with a .22, and I'll have your ticket".
