Sold: Ruger 10/22, Midway custom fluted barrel, Fajen thumbhole stock £325

10/22 with aftermarket heavy fluted stainless barrel and original Fajen stock. Includes 2 x10rnd mags. Could go with a steel PH mod instead if you prefer. Scope is an Optisan 4-12x40 ao. All in vgc.

To get the best from it, it will need bedding (it isn’t at the moment) and a trigger job although it is perfectly useable as is - but my other 10/22 trigger was better so I’m aware it could be improved. That was my plan, ultimately to pair with dedicated NV, but I’m just not getting the time I used to so have bitten the bullet and decided its surplus.

Based in Cornwall. Will rfd at your expense. I do occasionally drive to London/Kent/Sussex.

What length is the barrel?

Hi, it’s 17.25” from the muzzle to the front of the receiver (ie not including the recessed spigot that is within the action when installed that the bolt goes up against when in battery.

Scope is perfectly appropriate to the rifle but if anyone wants to fit something different I’d sell the rifle, mod & mags for £300.

What kind of groups can you get with it? What brand is the barrel?

Hi Joe, brand is Midway (marketed by Brownells I think). I had a brief session with it months back on a wet windy day to test function using odds and sods of subsonic ammo and unsurprisingly groups were average at 50m, but ditto with a similar bull barrelled 10/22 I’ve had for years that is a pretty good bunny basher. Knowing I would want to bed it properly, do a trigger job on etc if I was going to set it up dedicated to NV I then put it away. The barrel looks very clean. I can probably get to the range next weekend and shoot some groups off a bag but I don’t really want to spend time fettling it at this price so I suspect there will still be room for improvement!
