Rusan ring heights?

With the doe season over I’m thinking about a few changes to my kit & specifically some QR rings to enable me to swap the Alpex for the Zeiss & back again without needing any tools in the field.

The Rusan QR rings look good value for money but I’m confused by the ring height…

Photo below is from the optics warehouse page & lists three ring heights along with a diagram showing the measurement they correspond to. Surely that cannot be right can it!?

Can anyone who has these confirm that the height dimension is in fact the distance I’ve indicated with the red dimension arrow?

TIA 👍

Yes, your height with arrow is what’s known as the BH or Base Height

Ring height is base height plus half of tube diameter

Yes that's right. I've a set of the tikka specific quick release in 15mm. Will hold an alpex with the objective clear, but you can't slide the aperture adjustment fully into night mode. Keep that in mind for any rings you're looking at for the alpex. I think the alpex is 66mm diameter, including the relevant part of the apertute slide.

Clearing the objective housing isn’t the issue, mine sits on a picatinny rail. It’s the clearance between the underside of the scope & the rail that I need as I have a case catcher that attaches to the rail so I don’t lose my cases when I’m reloading for the next shot :thumb:
