2-12x50 has almost become a standard among scope manufacturers. People like this spec as it covers most anything form low light to driven hunt.
Consequently there are quite a few contenders out there. All of them have illuminated SFP reticles.

@caberslash has already pointed out the S&B Klassik tunnels badly as you wind down the mag. Also the FFP reticle becomes very heavy at high mag. Good for low light without illumination like in the old days, but a hinderance when shooting for precision at small targets. S&B scopes have always had a problem with back light, hence above remark on the need for a sunshade.
You can still put deer in the larder with them but they've had their time and there are better alternatives available.
In a parallel thread you've already mentioned a few possible candidates by Zeiss, Swaro, Meopta and Leica yourself. Maybe add GPO to the list.
