Sako 85 safety issue

The rem 700 you can load and unload in safe position which I quite like. Tikka t3 is load unload only in fire position unless you have the 3 position ASH firing pin safety.
Ronin is right, aftermarket stocks should be checked if anything is touching. Apart from hand made stocks that might have not enough material removed in one section there are other issues such as: Aftermarket triggers installed that have a different physical shape than the original, customer beds the rifle slightly off the correct position. Even a stock that had a test rifle fitted in production might not work due to the two reasons.

Has anyone had problems with their SET trigger on a sako 85. I have set my new sako 85 laminated varmint up this morning. After being collimated it only took 2 shots to hit the bull with 69 grain bullets ,55 grains were very close to the same point of aim.The problem is the set trigger won’t fire with a cartridge in the chamber. It seems to work when the chamber is empty. ADVICE Please

Could be a problem with your finger touching the side of the Trigger, I have a Tikka T3 and a SAKO 85 both have stetcher set triggers and when you set them if you don't get your finger tip on the trigger it doesn't go off, any kind of sideways movement on the trigger and they unset, I thought it was a problem but both of my mates do the same. Once I fitted them into a GRS stock with the Palm swell it puts your hand in the correct position
