Hi all,

I fancy a bit of a change so am selling my Sako 85 in .243. I still have the original box and various accouterments it came with. This model has the set trigger which can be used if wanted. Barrel length is 20".

I had it pillar and glass bedded by Wallace McCrea at Turnright Galloway after I bought it. It's been my stalking rifle and is very accurate (I'm not a home loader) and is not fussy with ammo, although it particularly likes Hornady SST Superformance.

Round count is approx 500. The moderator is never left on. I look after my rifles and as can be seen this is in good condition for a used rifle.

I will include the following factory rounds with the sale:

40x 75gr Hornady Superformance SSTs
15x 95gr Hornady Superformance SSTs
37x 100gr RWS SPs

Collection from Kent or can RFD at buyer's cost.

If it wasn't for all the faff of getting a variation, that rifle would have been snapped up long ago by a SD member. I wish they would make it just like a shotgun purchase. Clear you to a certain calibre ( say 338 Lapua ) and then let you buy whatever you fancy at or below that calibre within reason. Also having 2 rifles of the same calibre makes sense as far as reloading goes. Deer rifle and range/night foxing rifle.

Cracking rifle I've got the same in 22 -250 as my main Foxing rifle . Just a question does the bedding improve, what is already a great accurate rifle if mine's anything to go by KentCountryGent

Thanks! As you say they these Sakos are already very accurate but I found the bedding did bring the groupings in even closer.
