Good Evening,
Does anyone have a Swarovski Gen 2 fitted to a Sako S20, if so could you please let me know what set up you have. Thanks again.

Great culling tool ;)
I bet your better half laughs every time you need a new "culling" related piece of equipment ..."really...more shooting related stuff..and how much is this going to cost me?"...thats what I get pretty well each and every time  👍

The numbering is to do with the magnification. So the Z6i is x6 zoom, the Z8i is x8 zoom. So essentially the Z8i 2.3-18x56 is 2.3x8=18.4 Hope this helps.
Are you sure? I thought it was the model number as I have a Z6I with 5-30 magnification ...so its a 5-30x zoom...which would be the same magnification on the Z4 or Z8 at 5-30. Just interested :)

that's what the number after the Z means - how many times the base mag you get at the maximum level - the "zoom range" if you like

your Z6i starts at 5x Base mag and has a magnification range of 6 times that, so ends with 30x

a Z8 has a range of 8 times the base mag so a 2.3 ends up at 8x2.3 = 18.4 hence 2.3-18x

a Z4 would do 5x-20x (im not sure if that is even the option but you see what i mean)

so you wont ever get a Z4 or Z8 doing 5-30x

Got you...It doesnt take much to confuse my tiny little brain so your expanded explanation is spot on 👍
