SAKO S20???

Helped a mate zero his S20 thumb hole in 243 with fluted barrel. By the end of the session It shot a 1 inch group at 200 yards using a shooting frame, I am a Sauer boy but I was impressed with it

although are heavy for what they are and the barrel is quite long in standard trim…

The rattley mag is a pain but a small piece of sticky felt fixed that.
Agree completely on the weight - love the rifle but wish it was much lighter. I have the rattle mag issue too but some velcro loop quickly and reliably solved that. Mine’s the 20” barrel and I find it very pointabl.

A few reviews have advised that mag feed may be inconsistent Steve - I’d be cautious if you are looking at DG - not so on a management hunt

Mine is the 24” and I have considered getting it chopped down…not sure how short I could go without effecting accuracy. I guess Sako made it 24” for a reason!

I've a 6.5CM, 24inch fluted barrel with the hunter stock. Sightron Stac on top. Shots 3 round groups like this at 200m. 143gr ELD-X over 42.2gr of Superformance for Vermin & almost identical with 123gr Barnes LRX. It's now made my .223/Pulsar combo redundant. Use it for pretty much everything. Dropped a 270m doe on the spot with it on Saturday with a Barnes. When I'm on the September to November contract it's absolutely devastating. Put over 1k rounds through it since it was new in April & it's definitely my favourite bit of kit in my cabinet now20210901_074354.webp
