Sauer 404 mount Torx screw size

Anyone know the Torx screw size for the Sauer rings for the 404 mount.

The shop who fitted my scope have decided to torque down ridiculously tight and T9 and T10 bits are slipping in the screws......it's only for 6.5x55 too....not .505 Gibbs......

I will need need to get a better Torx screwdriver to shift them but just need to confirm size.

Might have to carefully tap in a larger torx bit to get a good fit then bin the screws afterwards.

Which bolt is it?

The one thats in the underside that fixes the rings to the base or rings to the rings?

I have a feeling its m2.5 or m3 fine for the rings and m4 or m5 fine for the bases.

They are good quality rings so dont need tons of tourney and a little ble lock tite

I’d ask a friend to hold the rifle while you put plenty of pressure with two hands to loosen the screws, so the bit doesn’t slip and ring the screw head.

Was the actual scope ring....switching it out for a Swaro fixed 8x50.

Sorted it T10.....with a Wera torx screwdriver.....
