Schmidt and Bender problems

I have a variable Schmidt and Bender that's runs out of windage adjustment. I have tried it with optilocks which are perfectly square and tight. I've now tried it on a picatinny rail with Warne mounts and have the same problem. Point of impact is 1 foot left of target even on maximum right hand clicks. Rifle is Sako75 30-06 if that's relevant. Frustrated to say the least. Any ideas what's wrong gents?

The tapered rail on the 75 allows for windage adjustment depending on where you mount the front mount. If you move the front mount slightly rearwards it will move the poi to the left and further forwards it will move it to the right. This is why the rail is tapered.

Sako?
use the tapered dovetail without the recoils lug as a windage adjustable mount
all is not as expected when it comes to concentricity and alignment when it comes to receivers and mounts!!

It sounds like your front mount is either fully forward or at the back of the front rail.
If you move the front base into the middle of the rail then your windage problem will disappear.
