which looks like an S&B-branded Gray?

I'm guessing what you have in mind is the two-draw 15-60x60 item?

I'm a bit late reading your ad but I have a Schmidt and Bender draw tube telescope which is not being used if you are still looking.

Colonel Milne, former owner/director of messers Gray and Co of Inverness advised me that the lenses of the Gray telescope were made by Schmidt and Bender, it looks as if this may be an early S&B branded example.

Pity about the case - clearly made for a different market than the Scottish hill!

It’s strange nobody has tried as yet to manufacture these using carbon fibre tubes instead of aluminium, the weight saving could be significant.
