Schmidt & Bender 6x42 Germany scope
1 inch tube, really nice condition.
Has a couple of faint ring marks on the tube as can hopefully be seen in the photos, but no crimping or damage to the housing.
Lenses are good- ocular is perfect- there is a tiny, tiny mark to the objective, but I’m having trouble in photographing. About as small as a pin head- has no effect on the beautiful optical clarity of this scope. I’m being really pedantic, but believe in being 100% honest. Believe it is an A7 reticule (see photo). Bought off a friend about 18 months ago (he bought in new in Australia), and have had it on my .22lr since, but am finding I’m shooting squirrels at shorter distances, so would like something with focus down to 30 yards. Believe this is fixed parallax at 100 meters.
It’s hard to describe the sight picture and clarity as anything but amazing with these scopes. I have a 8x56 as well and the sight picture is beautiful.
It comes with the original bikini covers, but no box or papers. Tracks fine, can’t think of much else to say.
Ideal scenario would be pick up so you can check the condition and ensure you’re happy, but also happy to post RMSD with appropriate insurance- would be really well packed etc.
I’m based West end of the M50. Monmouth/ Ross on Wye/ Lydbrook areas- may be able to travel a little way with enough notice.
