Thanks Woodsy. I could'nt make stocks on a commercial basis in view of the time limits within which it would have to be done. For instance if I get to the stage where I'm getting fed up or that I feel I want to hurry (and therefore risk spoiling the stock) I will put it down and leave it for a day or a week or sometimes a month until the enthusiasm returns. I have done some restocking for others but only for the family (who would very soon complain if not perfect)
I also sail and as a "lockdown" project I purchased a hull and deck of a 26ft yacht - I guess it will take about 2 years to complete (the last one, at 30 ft took 3years to complete back in 1978). I enjoyed building flyrods with special cork, rings and reel fittings many years ago but you can now purchase excellent rods relatively cheaply so I gave that up.
