I've been thinking about getting myself another scope for a new rifle and im struggling to decide so I'm after some real world experience please!

Meopta optika 6 5-30x56 or delta stryker? Pro's and cons please 😄

The Leica PRS in the classifieds would be a good shout. Save me buying it. Off the two you have listed the Delta s better to my eyes.

Colin is selling a Leica , topscots is selling a brand new (used) Z6i

Buy one of those two.

Being honest the Swarovski will be the last scope you ever need with premium glass and manufacturer back up.

I had a meopta and it was very soft

Delta glass isn’t great.

I tried the crossover routine and you just end up with a scope that masters neither arena.

Im a big Vortex fan myself, especially for the money and because of the VIP warranty. Cant help much else with those two brands youve mentioned.

I've currently got an s+b klassic but I want more turret adjustment and .1mrad clicks, not .05mrad. I've tried getting around it but i just can't. I've run out of elevation by 450 yards...

Im after a do it all, whether it does it all really well I'm not overly bothered, as long as it does it 😂

What do you mean by the meopta was very soft?

"Do it all"...as long as you don't want low light, as most/all of the high mag stuff is woeful at low light, even when dialled out.

Id rather go 3-18 or similar but the likes of delta appear to be x44 instead of 50/56 with reasonable light transmission but their 50/56 are higher.

The klassic i have currently is exactly what I want except the turrets 🙃 that's a 4-16 and will still ring gongs out there

The Meopta 6 scopes I have always found the eye box fussy with the higher mag versions, yet with the the 3-18x50.or 56 I never had this issue. In fact I rate the lower mag versions really highly for the price point.

I haven't owned a Delta Stryker, though I have looked through and shot a rifle with 1 on it. I found it great for target work, but I would think it a bit fussy for stalking.
I have owned a Delta Javelin and although a good range scope I found it too heavy and reticle fussy out in the field .

I did actually buy a optika 6 3-18 a few years back but found the ret far to thick to do anything with. I'll have a butchers to see what choice of ret I can get away with.

I didn't mind the javelin and for the price point, it was a good semi all rounder. Wouldn't do everything brilliant but worked for what I wanted.

I really like Delta glass personally and I had the Mk1 Stryker years ago and thought it was a properly decent scope. It was just a big lump so I moved it on but I missed everything about it other than the weight.

I still have a couple of other smaller Deltas and they are great glass wise but quite basic in their design which is fine for the applications I use them for but ovvo would be no good for you.

You say you like the Schmidt apart from the turrets. On one of my deer rifles, I have a 4-16x56 polar T96 in FFP with the P4FL reticle. Lockable CCW turrets in MRAD which get me out to 800yds and then you have the reticle to get you out further still. It's a great scope. Maybe try finding a second hand one of those if poss. I ordered mine specifically with certain features as there were none on the shelf (I cannot cope with CW turrets for example) and from memory it was quite a lot of money but it is a super scope that also does not weigh too much compared to most 56mm dialling scopes that tend to be more target orientated. You see the odd one come up for sale but often in SFP. Maybe a FFP model will be round the corner somewhere.
