Second most dangerous thing I have seen EVER

A few weeks ago I was on a syndicate day on our little rough shoot. One of the others had brought a guest. Said guest shot at a pheasant that was probably 6 feet off the ground. His backstop was a hedge, on the other side of which was another Gun. Words were had. Guests are no longer permitted.
So banning all guests is the answer to one idiot. Isn't guests and the social aspect one of the main reasons to go on a pheasant shoot. I would put the responsibility squarely on the gun that invited a poor guest.

I'll not bore you with syndicate politics, but that incident was the final nail in the coffin rather than the root cause of guests being banned. I agree, if you're bringing somebody with you it's your job to make sure they're safe and understand the etiquette.

I work in the Mining industry there is so much work about the jobs are full of in-experience it’s an everyday occurrence to witness some form of near potential near disaster. And the upper management are as inexperienced as most so can’t see an issue glad I’m off to pastures new Monday.

By far the most dangerous thing I ever witnessed was a pure mistake and my friend got out lucky, He had put his rifle back into his gun safe and then took it out to go stalking there for was remounting the silencer, Picked it up racked the bolt and a unspent .270 fell out, Checks the safety and It was off - One time type of mistake your either lucky or not, but you wont bloody do it again that's for sure.

Not really the person to put a loaded rifle back into a safe, It was just a complete accident from lamping the night before

22 second mark
Once is bad enough, but there is a second instance around 55 seconds. But the person in the distance is in green clothing.

Absolutely astonishing.

Where did the video come from? If iit's promotional video for a company, I'd like to know "Who not to book with"
It speaks load and clear about that firms approach to safety, that they've posted it.

Have posted a video from this guy before but this one just confirms how gun-ho the attitude to safety is for him & his mates!

If these are his best shots I'd hate to see the bad ones 😳

While I appreciate the safety concerns, its a slippery slope all clubs go down. Leads them to becoming sealed off to new comers and letting the sport die. By banning guests, how are they suppose to bring new blood into the club, promote the sport and generate income to look after birds.

There's a game club local to me where this has happened, thing is full of old farts that shoot maybe 1 or 2 days a year. They refuse to put any leg work in. There's maybe a handful of people that actually look after the running of the club. There's an AGM every year, I have two people in there nominating me and I can't get in. Its the same moldy b@stards who won't lift a finger, are the ones who object to new members. I've been trying 4 years now and just about to give up.

I remember when I started out, I was friends with a guy in my local clay club. He was a member of a game club. We were talking about membership prices and he mentioned that he had just renewed his and was harping on about "nailing pheasants" with a new custom DT11 he bought. This peaked my interested and I asked him if I could join. He straight up said it wasn't his place to decide. That's fair enough I thought, so I asked him for a contact to enquire myself and he said he didn't know any......He didn't know who he was giving his money to the week prior. I later found out that his father was the chairperson of the club. After that, I seen him in a different light and I kept him at a distance. I find game clubs are a bit pretentious.
