My creedmoor sauer 100 loved it today. It was 140gr soft points. Shot as well as much more expensive ELD-X. Seeing it as my new hunting ammo. Lucky my rifle seems to like it.
I have had a couple of boxes of the S&B FMJ 147gr .308 Training rounds and they seem okay...I get a variety of group sizes with whatever I am shooting so they are not much worse...the average 5 shot group from them with me and rifle is just under the inch.
The POI is about 20mm to the right of my hunting TTSX but the elevation is much the same.
What is notable is that the last 5 rounds from the first box gave me my best group ever...5 rounds into 0.2"
Slightly spoiled by the fact that the first three groups from the new box were not in the same league...but hey...one 0.2" group is something for me to celebrate.
I had some S&B 165gr Barnes in 30-06 given to me to try that didn’t work in his rifle and they went to the same POA as my reloads in my rifle. We both have the same make of rifle.
