I seem to recall some years ago (well before I got my FAC) there used to be separate limits on how much ammunition could be acquired and possessed at any one time e.g. acquire 500 rounds of .223 and possess 1000, rather than simply posses 1000.
Out of curiosity does anyone know when the acquisition limits were abolished? Was it a change of policy / Home Office guidance or did the law actually change, and if so what act/statutory instrument made the change?
