I've been going through my fishing tackle and having a big sort out as I have far too much. As such I have a Shakespeare Firebird Spinning Rod and reel that is no longer needed. The rod is 7 foot long and rated to cast 10g - 25g and comes with a cloth rod bag (Not the original as it came in a polythene bag when I bought it last year. ) The reel is again a Shakespeare Firebird Fixed Spool Reel (I believe it is about a 3000 size) and is loaded with mono but as it is cheap mono I don't know the breaking strain and would be inclined to change it for a better quality line. I have only used this rod and reel once so it is in "as new" condition and might make an ideal gift! I would be happy to see this go to maybe a youngster to get them started with fishing. I will also throw in a plastic lure box with 5 floating/diving lures and half a dozed (Cheap) floating "popper" lures which are a bit too light for the rods and reels that I have.
I am not asking anything for the outfit, all I would ask is that the recipient pays a little towards post and packaging (I would think that the P&P would only be about a fiver.
I have had this outfit advertised on Facebook Marketplace for £12 but i only had three enquiries and they were all wasters who wanted to knock the price down which is why I have put it on here as a "give away" to try to help a youngster out a little.
