How about the Northern Shooting Show, sensible entry fee, a cock stride from the A1 an a bloody good day out.
I guessing that the organisers of the British Shooting Show think folks will be desperate to attend a show so they will pay owt for the privilege.. Well isn't that how the I'll fated CLA fair got? Too big for its boots..

I understand that the cost of stands has gone up too, I suspect a lot of exhibitors won't be there.
If Ragley was anything to go by this year, then I agree with you.
When is the "northern shooting show" As I will not be going to Birmingham.

Right "googled" it. It's in May tickets look to be £13 .... Now that's more like it.
£42 before you're in the door ?! As much as I've enjoyed previous shows, that's complete 'urine extraction' and I'll not be there 
Buying kit locally might run a little dearer, but would you end up spending that much more over a year ? Also, with anything bought locally you're supporting your local gunshop and have an easy job at hand if you ever need to return anything or need advice about your purchases.

Reply I had back from them as it still stated on their site saying parking was free but on the ticket office it was payable.
Yes parking use to be free, everyone else was kicking off when they moved from Stoneleigh Park to the NEC as the site then also seid parking fees apply. They sorted free parking back then. Now we have to pay the parking.
Hi, looks like theres been a bit of confusion there tickets for 2022 are sold via this link: Tickets » Shooting Show I can confirm that parking is indeed charged at the NEC's pre-set rates and all parking is managed by the NEC and their team.
2 days are deffo worth it.
I spent I think it was 5 years working voluntarily on my mates stand sFa.

Been to the northern shooting show Harrogate a few times. Great show, easy access, reasonable price’s, also Harrogate is a beautiful town to visit if you are going for a few days. The “great British shooting show” 
just does not compare. Been once and once only, never again!! I believe that the organisers will be wearing masks, fair enough until you realise they are designed by Dick Turpin.
Do you remember the gun makers row at the original CLA game fair? great, until the CLA got above itself!
Used to help out at the Countryside Alliance stand at the CLA until they also forgot their roots.

How come this can be done in 2022 at Stoneleigh for this price...and yes it's a bloody good show for militaria and that sort of stuff...yet there is an insistence on the NEC for this "Great British Shooting Show"? Someone is, as others say, having a laugh and extracting the Michael. Because I for one would be happy with Stoneleigh and couldn't care less about the supposed luxury of the NEC!

True but you got to get to Dortmund, hotel, taxis, food plus any purchases.
But NEC at 25 quid a day, plus 2cdays hotel. Petrol, food plus purchases is getting to a point I aint interested anymore.
