Currently wandering around looking with eyes aglow at all the precious.
Unfortunately my wallet is superglue into my wallet. But likewise having a good look.
If I walk out without buying anything I still think it is worthwhile and I'm not someone with more money than sense. Mind you. I may not have any sense.

well £50 for fuel, £25 for ticket, and £12 parking, and £10 for a sandwich and a cuppa, then walk around looking at stuff i dont need , or want at top prices, i have everything i need to carry on shooting for a life time, i used to enjoy weston park midland game fair it was fantastic 20 years ago, then it went t*ts up, when all the pikeys turned up to do their early christmas shopping, nah you go enjoy it while you can, yes indeed it is a rich mans sport now, i feel sorry for all the young shooters just getting started bs.

I came across a couple of videos of this year's shooting show on YouTube late last night. Not sure if people were put off by the cost or concerns over covid but it struck me that attendance was way down on previous years. It looked like you could actually walk about without being constantly bumped and jostled and you could actually get to the stands.
I doubt if the organisers will even break even with such low attendance.

Yes numbers were down. I think it will have been a mixture of covid and the storms put a lot off travelling.
Yes I forgot about the storms as we were relatively unaffected.Went yesterday with the good lady, numbers definitely down on past years I've attended but with combo of storms and covid I kinda expected that.
It was nice for some normality! Doing things we used to do was a breath of fresh air. Yes a £25 ticket is a bit steep, £16 parking and your ripping the p**s for sure! We enjoyed the stands on display and the taxidermy stand was a lovely sight of high quality workmanship.
Looked through the Leica Canolox and have to say very impressive! £4k impressive!!
Doubtful I'll attend again as many bargains weren't what they used to be but thats thanks to the Internet.

On one of the stands selling pulsar ,not pulsar stand there was a scope I looked through that came away from its security wire system .I notified a security guard who told the stand staff who then undid the windage cape and wrapped the wire around that before doing up the cap !!!!
Next time a walked past it was gone
I imagine someone had a good show at the expense of others !

If you can't afford £100 for 20 copper bullets, don't shoot!

It's funny but I much preferred the NEC when it was Warren Farm and in the early 50's the Old Feller and me used to take 50 couple of rabbits a week off it. A mile by bike from our village but the lane now ends at the back of the Motor bike museum. Thank God for memories.

Yes , There called quad sticks
Dont pass by the video tripods from outlets like Jessops, the "Shooting" bit on the label will undoubtedly add a fair bit on the price.
Personally i think they are cumbersome and not as steady as quad sticks
