Short 6.5 Creedmoor rounds?

I’m currently using Hornady 143gr ELDX in my 6.5 Creedmoor (used to be a 22-250) but finding them too long for the floor plate mag.

Does anyone know of any shorter factory rounds? 129gr STT possibly?
I’m interested in any of them if they’re shorter.
Would a lighter head generally mean a shorter round?

Deleted my post as i incorrectly thought the max length for the Creedmoor was less than a .308.

Someone will be along to give you a mag' solution.

What is your rifle make?

The creed can be 25 thou longer than a 308.
Unfortunately I’m struggling with the mag solution as it’s a floor plate and a Dakota 76 semi custom so can’t find anywhere that sells a suitable longer mag.
Dakota are now Parkwest arms. I called them last week hoping they had a slightly longer mag I could insert. They said they don’t and that they have a lot of trouble with Hornady ELD headed ammo as they are so long and that they just tell people to use shorter rounds or seat the Hornady deeper (unfortunately I don’t home load)

Not sure where you are but he a quick Google and they are £35 at Francis Lovell in Oxfordshire 👍🏼
Any idea what their OAL is?
Sorry no, and had another google and the 130hp are target ammo, so not what you want.
I looked at Hornady load data out of interest and for info the 143gr ELDX COAL is 2.8"
and the 140SST COAL is 2.69".

I’m hoping to find some 129gr SST so I can give them a try
