Short changed 😁

Blatant gun porn but thought a wee bit different.

After the usual process of investigation, contemplation and procrastination I’ve changed a couple rifles over to short and pointy. The idea being simple to use getting in and out of vehicle. Less of a burden to carry. Fine and pointy in the woods. Less chance of clattering about when used at night.

My usual preference of 24-26ā€ barrel chopped back to 17ā€ and 18ā€ in these two. With light overbarrel mods to maintain balance/ pointiness and keep it short.

First is a CZ527 in 223 with a 17ā€ 7 twist rebarrel by James at JagerSA, GRS laminate stock in Forest Camo which is a drop in fit for the CZ527 (I may bed it but for the time being it has not been), Stalon mod, pic rail as this will wear a thermal in winter and Delta Stryker scope.

Second up is a good old Remington 700, a short action which is chambered in 308. The action rebarrelled by Ronin with a ten twist sassen cut rifled barrel and finished at 18ā€ with a fantastic Cerakote job on the barrelled action, then professionally bedded by him into a PSE stock along with Tier one DBM. A nice light DPT overbarrel moderator transformed the handling versus the steel mod I had originally. Finished with a pic rail and Pulsar C50 for those early and late shots.
