I opened the box and realised too late that these are for 1in12 twist barrels. Don't want to risk firing them through my 1in8.

they will shoot just as well in your 1in8 as they will with a 1 in 12 . my 1in 8 shoots 40gr up to 80gr no rear difference.

Depends how fast you push them, from a .223 at lower speeds they will likely be fine, 1:8 22-250 possibly not so much.

The issue isn’t stability, these bullet have a very thin jacket and if over spun centrifugal force blows them up in mid air.
