Sightmark Wraith 4k Max charging issue

I have a Sightmark Wraith 4k Max, which has an internal battery that uses a USB-C port to charge.
It does not seem to be charging. I am using a USB-C >-> USB-C cable and have tried with a Samsung and Pulsar plug.

Anyone with any experience of this issue and any suggestions would be welcome.

Right, got it sorted, it would appear. You need to use a USB >-> USB-C cable and plug, the USB-C >-> USB-C does not work for some weird reason.

Whether or not USB-C charging works depends on the device being charged and the charger being used.
Some devices won't charge unless it can communicate with the charger regarding how much current the charger can provide and how much current the device can take
If the device asks the question, but the charger doesn't reply, then the device will not accept a charge
Similarly, if the charger is set up to provide the device with the information needed about charge rates, but the device is dumb the charger won't provide any charge
This is down to USB-C being able to handle much higher voltages and currents than earlier versions of USB
This is good in that it can allow USB-C to charge devices much faster and also to provide power for larger devices, but it can have the downside you experienced

Cheers
