Following the revelation from another member of Stalking Directory who had been informed by a third party - apparently who is employed by bergara (but did not wish to be named) ,,,,,,that they (bergara) were supplying rifle barrels to Blaser, Mauser and Sauer (SigSauer group)
I don’t doubt that the person posting the information acted in good faith believing what he had been told by the bergara “employee”
I made enquires with SigSauer Group (Blaser, Mauser and Sauer) to ask for clarification on this information
Within a matter of hours, the following reply came back, which is copied and pasted from the email;
“Thank you for your email and the interest in our products, gladly we provide the requested information.
The cooperation with Bergara ended 25 years ago. After that our barrels were produced at Sauer & Sohn in Eckernförde and SIG Sauer in Switzerland, which both were members of our group. We started to make barrels here on this place in 2011. All rifles coming from Blaser, Sauer and Mauser are equipped with cold hammered barrels of the same high end quality. There are no differences between the brands and their models.
Hopefully this answeres all unclarities.

I think this resolves the matter, - there is no collaboration with bergara and SigSauer Group products - what was said to the misinformed member of our group was misinformation at best.
Deliberate - who knows
Perhaps the bergara employee should assess their suitability to pass “information” about the company they represent
It does nothing for their credibility whatsoever
Glad the integrity of SigSauer Group products is preserved
